Umn...art is getting done. Been hanging with friends since I got back. Apparently I was missed. D: And what does being missed entail? Six hours straight of Risk! Woo.

i] Fluorescent lights shut my brain down. Srsly. Totally whites it out.
ii] All my artistic ideas come to me while I'm driving. Makes it hard to take notes. >8(
iii] I have strange habits. If I tap my fingers they have to be tapped in a certain order. I doodle in the air with my fingers. I can't stand having my natural stride out of sync with cracks in the pavement. Obsessive compulsive some? 8D;
iv] I can't run in my dreams. I can fly or melt or whatever, but I cannot run.
v] I am wasted potential. I have a million ideas in my brilliant head, but I'm pretty much lethargic 95% of the time so darn.
vi] I dislocated my knee cap air guitaring once. And the other by standing up!
vii] I look very young for my age. Like, I still look 18.
viii] I often feel I was born in the wrong era?

It's been too long! Again! Hah, but [this time] I'm back. Hoo haw!

But yeah! After a "wonderfully" humbling year, I've finally got some time to rest. ;_; Many lessons, heartbreak, a plethora (I love that word) of new friends, many hangovers, and the Olympian discovery of finding my true place in the academic (if you want to call it that) world of fine arts has left me exhausted but revitalized and confident.

Oh yes, though it's terribly old news, THANK YOU to all the positive responses to that poll I put up ages ago; I'm glad to know I've been improving, and now after a lot of inner struggle, I think I can finally agree. I think I'm starting to find my "style", or at least, the start of something that will lead me to where I want to be. :] Good enough.

So I've been obsessing over Kingdom Hearts and The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack covers lately... Fall Out Boy's version of "What's This" and Marilyn Manson's cover of "This Is Hallowe'en" rofl my copters. I heard they're remaking it entirely in CG sometime in the future. Anyone know anything about this? I could research it myself, but I'm far too lazy. xD I hope it's true...

Anyway, seems the new year (Happy New Years, by the way) was dead set on being as nerve racking (wracking? I dunno) as possible. 8D I won't whine about it all, but it did involve a car accident, and my subsequent loss of said car, and other personal matters which I definitely won't delve into... Oh, and uni is allowing me even less time to do my own thing thus far, so I'll post when I have some breathing room. :3

Hey everyone. How're the holidays going for all my fellow DA peeps?

Things are good here; exams are over, portfolios submitted, and I'm heading back home on Friday. And I have a lot of artwork in the works and in the final stages of cleaning...oh, and speaking of which, sketches ARE coming. I haven't forgotten! SRSLY.

So I entered a contest of sorts a little while ago, and I kinda won a feature in the lovely journal of the lovely , along with a plethora of other unknown and undiscovered artists. So go and check it out, and take a gander at some great talent. :]


Ah, hmn, journal background gone for now...until I whip a little something up.

Oh, and as to the journal subject: I'll be submitting little to nothing over the holidays, so expect little to no activity from me until the New Year. Not that many would notice, I'm sure -- haha.

Have I lost my touch?

It's just that, I know I went on hiatus for almost half a year, and I understand I'd lose a lot of my watchers' interest after abandoning my account for so long, yet I feel I've lost something more than that over the months of my absense. I know this is a touchy subject...at least, it is when one complains about it...but I guess I sort of miss the attraction my drawings seemed to draw (hah, pun) to me. It's as though my stuff just lacks that "umph" factor. I dunno. Whatever, I guess. I suppose in the end it comes down to earning everyone's attention back.

Did I lose something? Throw me a boooone, here. D:

At least I'm updating! That's...That's amazing, I think.

Oh, and I meant to ask: is my journal looking alright? I've viewed it from multiple computers now, and on some, it looks fine (with the journal text appearing below the background text...), but on some they overlap, and looks terrible. Anyone now why? If it's looking all ugly on too many, I'll just have to redo my journal layout.

So yeah, how's everyone doing? Midterms are finally over *dance, dance*, and all that's left is a couple portfolios, final exams, a paper, and 3d projects to assemble! 8D;; Ah..hah...hah. Hmm...
